There are only a few things you need to start a fantastic website that looks good on all devices. And you do not necessarily need a domain name, believe it or not. That said, it is best practice to secure a good domain name for any business website right away. Domain Hostmaster is a good place to look for one. Or if you prefer to use PayPal to make your payments, try Domainance.
Mobirise is an easy-to-use, professional quality, advanced and responsive WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), website builder. Even though it is a professional application, it is so simple to use that you will download the current beta version for your device platform.
The software is available for Windows, Macintosh and Android at the Mobirise website...
Make your own website in a few clicks! Mobirise helps you cut through the nonsense of coding by providing you with a flexible website editor featuring and easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface. Just play the video above and you will understand how easy it is to use. Mobirise website builder creates responsive, retina and mobile friendly websites in a few clicks using modern techniques and best practices in standardized web design.
Mobirise is one of the easiest website development tools available today. It even gives you the freedom to develop as many websites as you like, on several different platforms.
Bootstrap 3 has been noted as one of the most reliable and proven frameworks and Mobirise has been equipped to develop websites using this framework.
One of Bootstrap 3's big points is responsiveness and Mobirise makes effective use of this by generating highly responsive website for you.
Google has a highly exhaustive list of fonts compiled into its web font platform and Mobirise makes it easy for you to use them on your website easily and freely.
Mobirise gives you the freedom to develop as many websites as you like given the fact that it is a desktop app.
Even if your website isn't absolutely perfect, you can always improve on it later using the very same Mobirise website builder and editor application. Just make sure to always save your project file (even though it saves automatically once it has been saved the first time, it is still in beta release).
Once you have your website ready and saved (published to your local drive), you will have to upload it to the cloud. I recommend using a target folder for all of your website files.
Personal sites can actually use Google Drive or Github to host them, but business sites really require a professional presence, a good host with a good domain name.
I haven't gotten the FTP/upload functions of Mobirise to work just yet, but the software is still in beta release and it does a great job of mobile first, multiple device platform friendly design, so I am willing to overlook it. If you need to get an FTP program to upload your website to the hosting account, I recommend FileZilla. It's free and easy to use. You will just need to setup your hosting account if you haven't already.
The following plans are among the cheapest I offer throughout all of my hosting websites, and the cloud they are hosted on is one of the best, most secure, reliable and fastest among my inexpensive shared business hosting platforms. They represent great value for little cost. Even the starter plan is a great deal.
Use any of my web hosting solutions (including any from the "Symbiotic Hostmasters" section in the footer at the end of the page) and if you need help with how to upload your files to the server and get your website online, just shoot me a message via this site's contact form and I will try to assist via emails, or possibly ring your phone. I will eventually add an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) tutorial to the site, as well.
If you are all done now and your website is live, I hope that you are proud of yourself. You have actually accomplished an important feat, because less than half of all small business is online today. By having a website you will stand-out and direct more attention, be taken much more seriously. Plus, since your site is mobile friendly, you should rank very well in the search engines when many are having difficulty conforming to the new mobile friendly site requirements of Google and other search engines.
Most people use their phones to lookup and search for business locations, directions and phone numbers, often while on-the-go. By putting up a website and announcing it to the search engines (another future tutorial), you let them know where you are and stay ahead of the competition.
This website is a portfolio of my own personal premium domain name collection.
Not all domains are offered for sale, although most any name may be bought for the proper price.
Note that I hardly ever sell developed web properties, as I use these for examples of my web design, graphics or marketing work examples. Plus, they may be turning a profit.
